Famed astronomy blogger Phil Plait has a few sagely words to say to all sci-fi writers and movie directors about what happens when you’re suddenly exposed to the perilous vacuum of space. So what does happen? Does your body suddenly explode? Does your blood boil? Do your eyes pop out? Do you spontaneously freeze to a rock solid “corpsicle”? No, not really.
